My Journey Leads Me to My True Passion

Since I was a kid, I was very persistent and goal oriented child. At the age of 6 I decided to be a doctor because I love helping people. It was not an easy way to achieve my dream, it requires hard work and good planning. My grandfather inspired me to pursue my dream, he encouraged me to join Schools’ Health Unit which is one of the extracurriculars at my Junior high school. During the extracurriculars, I invested my time to help the unit three times a week. Even though my time with my activities was tight, I never forgot my academic subjects. I always put academics first and motivated myself to get high scores in every subject especially Biology.  I became one of the top students in my school. After I graduated from senior high school, I enrolled as a student at one of the most prestigious private medical schools in Jakarta.

Medical School had enlightened me and provided me experience to work with the government hospital. This experience opened my eyes and my mind widely as I witnessed the poor health conditions and health system that were not so friendly to the poor who do not have health insurance. Since then, I realized that I must work for a better health care system and make it more accessible for Indonesian people, especially the needy.
“My main goal is to share services through programs that will help in creating a lasting and positive change in the lives of people who need it”

My determination towards the goal of better healthcare takes a great deal of effort. I set up an organization named the Let’s Share Foundation. Let’s Share is a non-profit organization which was established in 2015.  It has been collaborating with UNICEF Indonesia to extend proper medical help to underprivileged children in remote areas. The main goal of the organization is to fix the infrastructure of the Healthcare, Nutrition, and Education sectors in Indonesia. Let’s Share Foundation arranges regular distribution programs to villages by providing supplies such as clothing, food, books and other school materials. In the health sector they provide free medical checks, free surgeries and treatment for children who are born with congenital disabilities such as cleft lip or acquired disabilities such as burn scars.

To run a non-profit organization, it is essential to have a source of funds to attain the goals. Let’s Share Foundation raises funds by collaborating with many sectors to sustain itself and it runs so well. As a founder I encourage younger generations to work and contribute to a non-profit organization. By sharing my experience on what I feel and have seen, sharing related-content, and sometimes  inviting them to come over to the field to meet and communicate with the families of the sick children. I do that to evoke a sense of empathy and compassion in the donators’ hearts. Hopefully, I can inspire the younger generation and doctors to help in making the world as a better place.
